About Dr. Guerra
Dr. David S. Guerra was raised in southwestern Louisiana. After graduating high school, he enlisted in the United States Air Force and was trained as a surgical technologist and first assistant. After leaving the Air Force Dr. Guerra worked at a trauma center as a certified surgical technologist and first assistant while completing a Bachelor of Sciences in Biology from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. He then earned a Medical Doctorate from Louisiana State University School of Medicine in New Orleans. Dr. Guerra completed his OB/GYN internship and residency at the University of South Alabama in Mobile, AL. After residency, he was in private practice in Sebring, FL. for 12 years prior to joining First Class OBGYN.
Dr. Guerra is board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology and has focused practice designation from the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology in Minimally Invasive Gynecological Surgery. He is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology and a member of the American Association of Gynecological Laparoscopists. In his private practice, Dr. Guerra has gained years of experience in robotic surgery, laparoscopic surgery, minimally invasive office procedures, treating prolapse and incontinence, and treating infertility. Dr. Guerra is the medical director of a COLA and AHCA accredited high complex infertility laboratory. He is also a buprenorphine provider and has years of experience treating opioid dependence.
