Dr. Laviniu Anghel, MD

At First Class OB/GYN in South Florida, Dr. Anghel provides women with treatment and care for a wide range of gynecological and urinary problems, as well as obstetric care. He’s a board-certified obstetrician and gynecologist in the United States and a board-certified surgeon in the European Union. Dr. Anghel's dedication to making sure that he provides the highest quality care for women is reflected in his many board certifications and professional affiliations. In addition to being board-certified, he’s also a Fellow at American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and a member of the American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. Dr. Anghel’s knowledge and expertise in minimally invasive surgery have also earned him a place in the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists.

Dr. Maria Fernandez, MD

Dr. Maria Elena Fernandez-Mestres was born and raised in Puerto Rico. She obtained her Bachelor Degree in General Sciences at University of Puerto Rico in 2001. She completed her medical degree at the University of Puerto Rico School of Medicine. (ACGME accredited program). Shortly after, Maria Elena married her college sweetheart and started residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the same institution. During her senior year, she was chosen as Chief resident in her residency program. Dr. Maria Elena Fernandez is board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology from the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology (ABOG). After graduating from her specialty in 2009, Dr. Fernandez spent 2 years in private practice. She made her way to Florida in 2011 where she undertook clinical research in robotics in the setting of oncologic patients between 2011 and 2012. After having her first child in 2012, she gradually returned to practice. Her extensive work experience includes being an assistant professor of OBGYN at FIU. Her areas of interest include high-risk obstetrics, gynecologic malignancies and behavioral sciences, particularly related to anxiety and depression in the OBGYN patient population. Dr. Fernandez strongly believes in a compassionate approach as the key for establishing meaningful relationships with her patients, loved ones, and people in general. She decided to join First Class OB GYN, moved by her search for high quality of care and team oriented work environment. Maria Elena loves animals (specially dogs), traveling, and deeply enjoys spending time with her husband, Joshua and daughters Catalina Isabelle and Eva Lucia, as well as with her dogs Nena and Lola.

Dr. Cristin Wehbe, MD

Dr. Wehbe was born and raised in Caracas, Venezuela. Her first language is Spanish. Both of her parents are from the Middle East, which is why she is also fluent in Arabic. She graduated from medical school at Universidad Central de Venezuela in 2013. Dr. Wehbe worked in research at Tufts Medical Center in Boston, MA, in 2015. She completed her OBGYN residency at Jersey City Medical Center in 2020. Dr. Wehbe became board certified in 2022. She worked in a FQHC for 3 years in Jersey City, NJ, from 2020 to 2023, taking care of underserved patients. She is a very passionate physician who likes everything done by the book. Dr. Wehbe loves being in the operating room. Her main goal in practice is to provide the best care to the patient and listen to all their questions and concerns. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband and her dog.

Dr. David Mayo, MD

David Mayo, MD, is a skilled OB/GYN practicing at First Class OBGYN, which has locations in Miramar, Weston, and Pembroke Pines, Florida. He joined First Class OBGYN with the ambition of providing high-quality healthcare for women of all ages.

Dr. Mayo educates and treats his patients with the highest level of care and attention. He recognizes that specialized and personalized care is critical in the prevention and treatment of female reproductive problems or diseases. His practice offers state-of-the-art services and comprehensive obstetric and gynecological care. He uses his OB/GYN cosmetic gynecology expertise to administer a spectrum of services, including well-woman exams for women enduring all stages of life; childbearing services; weight loss management in conjunction with nutritional guidance; hormonal balance, evaluation, and treatment; fertility treatments; and STD counseling.

Dr. Yvette Klein, DO

Yvette Klein is a board-certified family medicine physician with a dedicated focus on women’s health. Originally from Mexico, she grew up in Florida, earned her undergraduate degree from Tufts University, and completed her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine at Nova Southeastern University. She went on to complete a family medicine residency at Palmetto General Hospital. Since 2006, Dr. Klein has exclusively practiced in women’s health. Fluent in Spanish, she is passionate about providing comprehensive care to women, addressing a wide range of concerns, from menopause management to general gynecology. Dr. Klein takes a holistic approach to patient care and is committed to supporting her patients throughout their health journeys.

Dr. Anabis Torres, MD

Anabis Torres, MD, is a highly experienced OB/GYN at First Class OB/GYN, serving the Weston, Florida, location, with over 19 years of dedicated service to women throughout every stage of life.

Originally from Puerto Rico, Dr. Torres earned her medical degree from the Ponce School of Medicine and subsequently completed her OB/GYN residency at Abington Memorial Hospital in Pennsylvania. Her extensive training and decades of hands-on experience enable her to deliver exceptional care, grounded in expertise, compassion, and cultural understanding.

Dr. Simonette Padron, DO

Simonette Padron, DO, is a dedicated OB/GYN at First Class OB/GYN, serving the Miramar, Florida, office. She's committed to delivering compassionate, patient-centered women’s healthcare.

Born in Venezuela and raised in South Florida, Dr. Padron brings a deep understanding of the diverse communities she serves. Fluent in English and Spanish, she creates a welcoming, supportive environment where women feel heard, respected, and empowered to take charge of their health.

Dr. Lydia Valderrama, MD

Dr. Valderrama is a graduate of the prestigious Sophie Davis Medical College, part of the six year medical training program at City College of New York. She completed her medical training at Stony Brook University, before spending four years in residency, including a year as Chief Resident in OB/GYN at NYU - Long Island (then Winthrop University Hospital).

She has spent the last 40 years in private practice. Originally as the senior partner at Long Island Women’s Healthcare (Mineola, NY) and the last three years as a member of the New Life OB/GYN of Broward County.

Dr. Steven Lindheim, MD, MMM

Dr. Lindheim is the Medical Director at Elite IVF Solutions. He also serves as Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Central Florida, in Orlando, Florida, and is Visiting Professor of Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine at Reproductive Medical Center Renji Hospital in Shanghai, China.

Jennifer Garcia, Midwife

Jenifer is a nurse practitioner, who completed her master’s degree in nursing at Frontier Nursing University. She is dedicated to assuring a positive patient experience, as well as working with her team to improve quality, safety, and service.

Rolando Morell, Midwife

Rolando Morell graduated as a doctor from the University of Camaguey in 1990. He received his Specialist degree in Gynecology and Obstetrics from the Superior Institute of Medical Sciences of Camaguey Cuba in 1994. He obtained a licensed midwife degree from the International Institute for Health Care professionals in 2016.

Urania Genatios, Midwife

Urania Genatios, of Venezuelan origin, studied medicine at the Universidad Central de Venezuela and pursued postgraduate studies in OB/GYN at the Hospital Universitario de Caracas.

Daniel Belleli, Midwife

Daniel Belleli graduated from the Central University of Venezuela (UCV) and he has been carefully dedicated to the study of medicine in the area of Obstetrics and Gynecology, with prestige and recognition for more than 20 years as OB GYN in Venezuela, and now he is a Midwife (CPM) and OB Sonographer.

Judith Bauta, RN, BSN, Perioperative Clinical Nurse Supervisor

Judith, serving as a Perioperative Clinical Nurse, is committed to delivering personalized care to patients within a safe and comfortable environment. She offers comprehensive pre-operative and post-operative instructions aimed at promoting optimal surgical outcomes.

Jeanette Hernandez FNP-C, MW, RDMS, Nurse Practitioner

Jeanette Hernandez is a Medical Doctor and OBGYN from Venezuela. She got her degree at Universidad Central de Venezuela. She is a provider with 25 years of experience in OB/GYN field.

Madelaine Plutin, Nurse Practitioner

Madelaine was born in Cuba. She studied at the Faculty of Medical Sciences of Santiago de Cuba. She is a dedicated women's health nurse and is passionate about providing exceptional care to women.

Gerardo Francisco Vega De La Rosa, Nurse Practitioner

Gerardo graduated as a doctor from the University of Habana in 1995. He received his Specialist degree in Gynecology and Obstetrics from the Superior Institute of Medical Sciences of Habana Cuba in 1998.

Along with endless energy and a strong work ethic, Darlene brings more than 11 years of experience in the medical field to Dr. Anghel’s practice. She has experience in aesthetics, as a medical assistant, and with managing practice operations. She is focused on making the day-to-day of the practice run efficiently, enabling Dr. Anghel to provide his patients with world-class medical care.
